ABOUT MY PRACTICE
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Clinical Partner Specialist practicing in Rockland and Orange counties, as well as a certified PAIRS marriage educator. I am a member of the board of APSATS. In addition to my background in Interpersonal Process psychotherapy, I received extensive training in the ACT model as well as specialized training from the BTTI in the use of ERP for OCD and related anxiety disorders. I have also been using the Multidimensional Trauma model since 2013 for relational trauma with partners and couples after discovery of betrayal, problematic sexual behavior and other relational traumas. I have a special interest in increasing awareness about the traumatic impact of chronic betrayal and sex addiction on couples and families in the Jewish Orthodox and Hasidic communities. I work both in the Jewish and non-Jewish communities and am comfortable employing multiple modalities that address the varying needs of my clients.

SPECIALTIES
OCD AND RELATED ANXIETY DISORDERS
Using specialized treatments such as Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT)Â clients learn coping strategies and acceptance and mindfulness skills to increase psychological flexibility and make effective changes in their life.
RELATIONAL TRAUMA
Partners who discover problematic sexual behaviors and betrayal in their relationships often experience trauma symptoms that significantly impair their functioning and the stability of their relationship. This rupture requires specialized treatment to address the needs of partners and couples impacted by betrayal trauma. Using the MDTM (Multidimensional Trauma Model) partners and couples experience a safe space to process and heal.
SERVICES
INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
In a genuine, non-judgmental, confidential environment, a safe space is created for clients to explore the areas in their lives that are holding them back from living more psychologically flexible lives.
COUPLES COUNSELING
Helping couples work through difficult issues such as betrayal and relational trauma, as well as childhood traumas that can impact the relationship may be a bumpy road. But healing and growth are possible. Working with couples to build back trust and safety, to increase empathy and communication, are some of the skills used to help couples rebuild their relationships on the road to recovery.
WORKSHOPS AND INTENSIVES
Some couples require extra dedicated support to repair their relationship after infidelity. Our intensive workshops help couples learn to communicate safely, build effective boundaries, deepen the safety of their relationship, and address the traumatic impact of problematic sexual behavior and/or sex addiction on their relationship.
